Cornhole Rules

Cornhole boards are placed 30' apart - Measured from the center of hole to center of hole. (Option to speed up play - Move the boards closer together)

Play consists of 2 teams with 2 players (or 1 player) on each team.

1 player from each team stands at opposite boards (or both players with only 2 people playing at same board).

To Start: 1 player from each team throws 1 bag - Team closest to the hole goes first.

Opposing team members take turns throwing all 8 bags: Team #1 throws 1 bag then Team #2 throws 1 bag and so on. When each team has thrown their 4 bags, points are added up. (Game with only 2 players then move to opposite board to throw)

Scoring

3 points for each bag thrown into the hole

1 point for any bag that lands and stays on the board

Like horseshoes, bags cancel each other out

Example: If Team #1 had thrown 1 bag in the hole (3 pts)

And Team #2 had 1 bag on the board (1 pt)

Then Team #1 is awarded 2 pts. & Team #2, 0 pts.

Optional: To speed up play

(Free up board if lots of people are waiting to play)

Do not have bags cancel each other out.

So, in the example above, the score would be 3 to 1, in favor of Team #1

The team that scores last throws first

Bags that roll up/bounce onto the board from the ground don't count

And should be removed from board so as not to interfere with play

Game is played to 21 points (must win by 2 pts)
